Dear all,
Been awhile I was away from this forum. Just wanna check if any SA applicants under Cat2 granted a CO.
Please update if you have.
Cheers,
Violet

I believe that you and I know each other from another forum? I don't know the answer to your question but I just wanted to say hi and to give you a cyber-hug.

Looks like only one 475 being granted co.
Hi Violet
There will be another person who gets a CO pretty soon. Please keep an eye open for a lady who posts as Jillabong on some of the other forums. She and her husband have applied for a sc 457 visa and they are sponsored by SA. They got the sponsorship in 2009 and the visa application was submitted in November 2009.
Everything then went quiet until the last 48 hours or so, when Jillabong decided to investigate the reason for this apparent delay.
Something seems to have gone wrong at DIAC's end. The person at the ASPC said that they have received the couple's application for a sc 475 visa but have not received any of the supporting documentation for it. He added that DIAC have not received Form 1100 from Immigration SA either.
Immigration SA said that they had sent the Form 1100 on 18th March 2010, but they will send it again immediately. The couple's migration agent says that she sent all the supporting documentation at the time when she submitted the visa application, but she is going to send all of that again too.
I'm wondering whether something has gone wrong with DIAC's computer? Jillabong's husband is sponsored by SA in accordance with their new SMP. Immigration SA specifically confirmed that although it is an "old" sponsorship, it has gone through to the new SMP in Immigration SA's records and they say that it is definitely a Cat 2 visa application.
Obviously the DIAC computer has not broken down completely but I wonder whether it has been losing information attached to the various files and then failing to put those files into the Cat 2 pile because the computer believes that it does not have any of the supporting documents or Form 1100? I'm no computer expert but I suspect a computer glitch here.
With Jillabong, now that everyone is aware that the DIAC computer has had some sort of problem with the file, all the humans will ensure that they overcome the shortcomings of the computer, so my guess is that Jillabong will get a CO pretty soon.
Does the status page for your own visa application confirm that DIAC have received absolutely everything that they need?
Cheers
Gill
Hi Gill,
Happy Chinese New Year to you if you are celebrating it. I'm. :-)
Thanks for the update. I have been chasing my agent and most likely he will look into my file again after the holiday. On my application screen, everything still waiting to be confirmed. Except my expire medical result that shown received.
Hopefully, will be receiving some good news soon.
Cheers,
Violet
