Applications from Pakistan and DIAC

Hi Susan,
I am a new to this forum .I have seen discussion on this forum.It is really my honour to join such a forum .
Anyways, I am to ask about what I am worried i.e. I applied for Australia immegration on 8th Jan, 2010 .I got CO assigned ack in Feb 2010 who asked me to submit some additional docs .
Since then I have not heard anything from DIAC .Instead I have seen a lot of forums and become afraid to see a rumour that Pakistanis are being delayed for to be denied later on by using capping LAW , God forbids .

My occupation is Electronics Engineer and I have been working since last seven years in Teleommunications.
Please give me some sympathy words that it is not true and is just a fake rumour and Pakistani applicants are being processed without any discrimination .

No body can give u a definite reply. Your fear might become reality or it might not be so. There are many PK cases waiting since May'09 and earlier and there is complete silence in their cases.
So be optimistic and keep praying,as its the only thing u can do.

Lisa thanks a lot .After reading your words , I felt a bit relaxed .Actually , I was worried since many people from India and Bangladesh (our neighbouring countries that are also HR ) got their visas in less than six months .Their points were equal to me and their degree was same (Electronics Engineer ) .Even their job experience was much less than me .That is why I thought negatively .
Nevertheless your words really provided me releif .But you know why I was thinking negatively : it is simply because some black sheep from my country have destroyed our reputation (I will not go into details since it is a political matter ) .But the point I wanna make clear is that a moderate Pakistani is afraid to suffer just because of evil actions of very few rotten eggs .
That is why I was a bit afraid .
Please pray for me and all of us .

Thanks Lisa for your suggestion , I requested my CO but got the same formal answer .But I have heard that if weask too many questions , then our case may take even more time since they put our file in the last of queue after checking it and answering our query .I mean suppose they pull out my file from number 450 and then there came 1000 files after I asked query , then the new number in the queue assigned to my file will be 1450 .Have you ever heard about it .

Hi All,
Thank God that I have finally got a call for medical and pcc from DIAC .
Can anyone please tell me what medical health tests normally are taken i.e. whether they take all blood tests , all urine tests or both ?
Also please let me know what is the average time of visa grant after medical pcc if everything goes right ?
