Category 5- Offshore Applications commecement

Dear Susan , Gil and Someone who will have an idea

Will have any idea as to when category 5 -offshore appliactions will commence, according to the recent unpaid they are currently processing applications in August 2008 for Visa subclass 885, 886, 487.

How long more do we have to wait to be allocated to case officers.

I am so sorry to have to say this, but no-one can give you an authoritative answer.

DIAC continues to remain very quiet on the matter and I really need to hear an official status update before I can estimate a timeframe.

Personally, I think it's beyond disgraceful to keep people waiting so long. Immigration is stressrful, expensive and daunting enough without this ridiculous situation making matters worse for good people who have invested so much time, money and hope in emigratng.

I know of so many people who are suffering because of this. People who trusted the government to do the rigfht thing by them; not to change policxies and procedures in mid stream.

Dirk, I'm sorry I can't give you the information you are seeking - please be assured that if or when anything is announced from an authoritative source, I'll post it on the forum.
