For Students who are not on SOL anymore
What will happen to students who applied for student visa before Feb 8 changes. Now if he finds that his occupation or course is not included in the new SOL, is there any way he can apply for Subclass 485 or PR after finishing his studies? Or is there any other option?

People who held a subclass 572, 573 or 574 visa on 8 February 2010 will still be able to apply for a Subclass 485 (Skilled Graduate) visa when their course finishes. DIAC says this will be the case even if your nominated occupation is not on the new list of occupations, provided that you apply before 31 December 2012 and nominate an occupation that is on the current SOL.
