Hello from the states!

I am new here and am just saying hi, I live in the United States in Michigan near Detroit, I love Australia and would one day love to live there, though I doubt my dream will come true, sense I haven't the money for it, I am on disability and draw Social Security $ 673 a month, and that has to cover rent and my phone, so I never have anything saved, I am living with family renting a room from my older brother, but I want to live on my own again, and I wish it could be Australia, but I know its just a dream,but I joined here just to hear from those who have made their dream come true, and to talk to some Aussies, I am a lesbian too which is another reason I would love to live there because I have heard gays are treated better there, it would be nice to live somewhere where I didn't have to worry about my government trying to take my rights away, the states are starting to become more of a dictator type government then a free one, if it ever was, I am always afraid of what they are going to do next, I would move to Australia in a heart beat if I could!
