How much more time for 175 MODL (Non SS, Non CSL/SOL/ANZCO or Other Hyper Diper Lists..) ????

Can anybody here let me know how much more time it will take to clear 175 MODL cases?
It has been so long for us people who had applied on MODL.
So much frustration, so many changing lists, so long wait and with that so many lives at stake..

Also, I have heard of SS/CSL/SOL/ANZCO/MODL/blah blah blah!! Now please let me know what is SMP??
Hi, Yes this has been going on for a long time if you are aware. The time is indefinate, the wait is infinite but speculations are there that if your occupation falls in STATE MIGRATION PLAN, to be out after election results and if you are state sponsored the chances are high for you to get the visa by 2010. If you are not in the SMP, god knows what happens.
It would be a good idea if you post your detail in this site for eg:- application date, occupation, and rest of the details like co and address it to Susan, the migration consultant whoo is very helpful.
thanks
but i had applied december 2007 and working as a cook , pls tell me when they give visa for me
May be they will grant visas to our sons/daughters or grandsons or grand daughters.
Hi all

I don't comment on individual cases on forums any more, partly because of the time it takes to research them properly, and partly because DIAC changes its policy so frequently that good advice can become outdated overnight.

But DIAC has a link on its webiste to its Client Service Charter, which lists current processing times:

http://www.immi.gov.au/about/charters/client-services-charter/visas...

To use it, you need to work out if you are in new Category 3 or 4, then go down to the bottom table, find the visa subclass you applied for and read the timeline listed in the appropriate column.

Just be aware, that this could change quite dramatically when the SMPs are introduced (at this stage, expected to be mid-late October).

Best regards
Susan
