Permalink Reply by Susan Wareham McGrath on March 8, 2012 at 22:25 Here's a link to DIAC's advice on allocation times for anyone who isn't aware of it. It's updated quite regularly http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/estimated-....
Cheers

HI Tanya,
How are you doing? my best wishes for your baby...Have you heard anything from your case officer yet?
Are you onshore in australia now? what was yr occupation?
Hi Sunali,
I am an Onshore applicant. Hairdressing is my occupation. Im not sure what to do now. I have had the baby and have to inform Dimia about change of circumstances. not sure how to proceed. Wait for the passport or let Dimia know now!
no news from the case officer. he is on holiday!!!! how good is that???
Hey Tapan!
If you are an 8th Nov 2008, offshore applicant, and your physical job verification is done, this would mean that you have been assigned a CO. Does this mean that DIAC is currently proccessing Cat 5 offshore applicants?
I was under the impression that there are still some cat 4 and onshore cat 5 pending before they start offshore. Would be great if you could clarify.
Thanks,
Nisha
Hey Tapan!!
Tanks for replying so soon :) I guess that explains it. Ultimately there's not much we can do but wait.
My husband and I applied for our visas in May 2010, (offshore - India). With the changes that were introduced our application was pushed to Cat 5, so now we are anticipating a really long wait as well.
Hope you hear something soon.
Tanks a ton,
Nisha
