Sub class 475
Hi all and dear Susan,
Just wanted 2 know that there was a rule that all those applicants who had a case officer appointed and had sent heir PCC and medicals after request from him or her will be given a visa till June. Is it still in exsistence as there is no move in my application after September even though all my documents have been submitted on the request of a case officer. I was wondering may be a new rule might have been made . Hope we ever get our visas.

Hi Shikha,
It's really disappointing and irritating for us. Diac never keeps their commitment. During lodgement on June 2009, we were informed by Diac website that our cases will be finalised within 12 months. But they have slashed our all dreams by sudden changes on Sept'09. It is really against their motto "PEOPLE OUR BUSINESS". Hope they will realise our agonies soon.

Sorry for being so vague. I was talking about the rule in which the minister said that all those applicants under 475 visa sub class who have submitted there Pcc and medicals on the request of a case officer will be granted a visa till June . somewhere around 3500 applicants. thanks

I don't know about that particular rule, but one of my friend got visa just before a week in the same situation. You may be right. My lodgement date is Nov. 08, 2008. I am waiting for the updates perhaps comming July. Wish you all the best for your future.

Now I understand.
I think I can clarify that for you - you're referring to an announcement DIAC made on 1 December.
What DIAC actually said was that it had made a start on processing the approximately 3500 state sponsored, non-CSL applications on the waiting list.
It advised that it expected to process a small number of those applications this program year (before 1 July 2010),
Those that it expected to process within that timeframe were the applications that had meds and PCCs requested by a CO, so were close to finalisation.
It also advised that the remaining state sponsored non-CSL applications will be processed in the order in which they were received.
Just to clarify, this advice does not apply to family sponosred non-CSL applications, only to those that are state sponsored.
DIAC also said that the exact number it would process this year was not possible to predict; it would depend on the number of higher priority applications that were on hand.
Another policy announcement that has caused thousands of people additional anxiety and stress as they wait to see if their application will be included in the number that are processed this year.

Susan.. One thing which i want to know is that why the DIAC is so slow these days... I mean from last few weeks the visas are tooooo slooooooow and almost negligible...
Why is it so...
Is DIAC planning somenthing Else.... to create trouble for remaininging applicants... Like CAP& CEASE Pre SEP 2008
Is it like that....
There is rumour also that DIAC staff is on Training...
Is it True....?
Such an efficient Staff still need Training....
I think they must divert their energy to give visas or to remove backlog etc. rather that gettiing training......
...Anyway...You are the one on Embrace Australia.. who can find exact information..
Please help all 475 applicants... try to find what will happen for them who are having CO's ...

B'coz from so long time there is no NEWS of immigration on immigration news websites or any other sites...
Write some kind of mail etc.....to DIAC on our behalf to find... what is going on these day in DIAC...
Sorry for so many questions... but these are not much for you......
I am sure Shikha...and all other members of 475 category and other EA members must want to know that what is happening behind the Long Walls of DIAC....
