Hi all and dear Susan,

Just wanted 2 know that there was a rule that all those applicants who had a case officer appointed and had sent heir PCC and medicals after request from him or her will be given a visa till June. Is it still in exsistence as there is no move in my application after September even though all my documents have been submitted on the request of a case officer. I was wondering may be a new rule might have been made . Hope we ever get our visas.

Regards

Shikha

SAGAR....................
Hi Rakesh and Sagar

Welcome back to both of you!

Sagar, there's nothing further to report at this stage - DIAC is continuing to make its own internal case allocation decisions in line with its annoucement on February 8.

The Minister had not made a decision about the maximum number of GSM visas to be granted as recently as last Thursday, so capping and ceasing has not yet started.

But as we know, DIAC has a tendency to make sudden announcements about major issues that affect thousands of people, so that situation could change at any time.

DIAC said that it would announce this month which occupations will be on the new Skilled Occupation List - once again, whether it will keep that timeline is not known.

Best regards
Susan
