SubClass 496 - 8549 must live/work/study in designated area

Good day!
Our economy is still on the stage of recession. Some companies are cutting down on their labor cost and some are closing down due to market instability. Is it possible that I can work and live in different state aside from my designated area which i held in my visa? Does this will affect the subclass 887 visa application?
