Hi
If your application is paper based....then u dont have any TRN.
TRN is for online applicants to track applications online.
File Reference Number is your TRN.
Thanks 2 every one.
Now pls shed some light on 175/CSL processing times disparity. By browsing on different discussion forums, it seems to me that there is quite disparity/differences in processing times for 175/CSL cases. My case is of June,09 and I have not yet got call for medical or my case is not yet finalized. where as there are a large no. of cases ( even HR countries) of even later months like Sep,09 or even Dec,09 which have got their visas.
It looks quite bizarre and somewhat non-standard and totally discretionary that the universal principal of " First Come First Serve " is not being followed in application processing/case finalization. If nothing is missing or required for a case then why it is not being finalized in accordance with lodgement date.I am unable to understand this phenomena. Pls help me out in this regard.
Hi Farzan

TRN is a Transaction Reference Number. It's the identifier that electronically lodged applications are automatically given. You use it to check on their progress.

Without knowing the details of your case, I'm not able to suggest why your case hasn't progressed - all I can say it's not at all unusual for cases to be assessed within varying timeframes - it can depend on a lot of admininstrative issues within DIAC as well as policy decisions and directives that affect resource allocation to visa types.

Best regards
Susan
Thanks for kind and much awaited reply from Ms Susan .
My case details are given below for further consideration pls:
ASCO:2211-11 ( Accountant )
IELTS : 7 each
Application type: Paper based
Visa type : 175
MODL:Yes
CSL: Yes
Application date : June,2009
CO allocation : Some where between Sep,09 & Oct,09
Queries from CO team : Some minor queries in Sep,09 & Oct,09 and were properly replied.
Change in circumstances : Got married in Dec'09, Immediately Sent 1023 Form to DIAC. DIAC asked for FORM 47A ,PCC & other basic docs and info for spouse, which were sent in Jan,2010.

Up till now there is no call from DIAC for medicals or any other thing. I am getting frustrated and disappointed. It has been about 9 months and my case has not yet been finalized despite being CSL case. I know a lot CSL/175 cases of HR countries having lodgement date after June,09 which have been recently finalized in just 6 or so months. Even 4 CSL/175 cases from my country have been finalized in 6 months ( Lodged in SEp09 & got visa in Feb,10).
Pls advice in the light of above facts.
Hi Farzana

As always, I can't give specific advice without reviewing a file, but under the circumstances, you could send a brief email your CO, noting that you responded to DIAC's request for further documentation in January and that as you have heard nothing further, you are writing to confirm they received the documentation you provided.

At least you will then have the peace of mind of knowing that they have all the documents they need to progress with the assessment in due course.

Good luck!

Susan
hi there. did you lodge your visa online? or do you have an agent? usually a TRN is assigned after lodgement. You can login in diac's site, upload your documents there, and even check the status of your aplication. later, when your visa gets approved, you can check your entitlements via your TRN and password.

You can click the link below and use the TRN assigned to you as well as additional info needed:
