It looks as though DIAC is going to start processing some non-CSL state sponsored applications - if you refer to the thread entitled Immigration to Australia, there's some more information there and Lisa and I will post updates as they become available.

Munira, migration is a very frustrating and stressful process, it's one of those things in life that we can't hurry, because it's out of our power to change. Please try not be depressed, even if you do have to wait for a long time, you'll get here eventually.

At 12:16pm on October 13, 2009, Susan Wareham McGrath said…: As things stand now, because of the 23 September changes, applicants not on the CSL, even if they have state sponsorship, have been advised by DIAC that it is unlikely their case will be finalised before late 2012.

However, I'm told the States are lobbying hard against the revised processing priorities and in conjunction with the MODL Review which is currently underway, we can expect further changes to be announced early 2010.

Hopefully, they will restore processing priority to cases such as yours.
