VISA Processing Time and State Sponsorship
Dear Susan and All,
I have applied for Independent Subclass VISA – 175 on 29th October 2009. My Occupation is the External Auditor and therefore, got the priority category 3. According to the department website, priority 3 category applications lodged before 01st July 2010 would be finalised before the end of 31st December 2011.
I am not sure whether my application will get refunded on or before the above mentioned date due to uncertain rule changes. Even it will not get refunded; the timelines of the application is not sure.
Further, I know that if I get the state sponsorship after the State Migration Plans are finalised, I will get the 2nd priority. Therefore, I am not sure whether going for that option would expedite the process of my VISA. While understanding that nobody can predict exact timing of processing VISA, I would like raise following two questions to you for your kind consideration:
(1) How long will take to process my application, if I keep it without making any change?
(2) If I get the state sponsorship after finalising SMPs, how long will it take to finalised?
Please advise me.

Hi,
Friend I applied Independent subclass VISA-175 on sept 2007 and I got visa on sept 2010.My consultant told you will get visa with in 10 months but I Got after 3 years. Hope fully wait.Now I have visa looking Elevator technician job and accommodation in Australia.
